Our Common Welfare

I was inspired to write this from a group I belong to looking for words of wisdom about Common Welfare and Unity.

"No man is an Island"

"It takes 2 to Tango"

"It takes a Village"

Just a few sayings saying the same thing, we are not alone and our common welfare should come first.  

No man, woman or child can or should have to be alone, whether it comes to recovery, survival or companionship.

Personal recovery depends on unity, united we stand, divided we fall.  We are called the United States of America and look what happened in our own recent history when we were divided as a country.  We almost fell, the Civil War costed us so many lives, so much destruction and so much pain, and for what.

After we re-united as a country, we grew to be the most powerful country in the world, helping other countries when called upon or when needed and became champions of the greater good,  

Unity can do the same for our personal recovery, common welfare and our greater community.  

Only with Unity can we prosper, only with Unity can we recover and only with Unity can we become better as a people.  So let's all Unite and work on our personal recovery, our friends and neighbors personal recovery and our common welfare as a United Nation, Under God, Indivisible with Justice for all.
